We would like to introduce you to Rhythm In Motion. Our motto. “Dance your way to Fitness,” is a chance for you to gain a healthier lifestyle while adding the spice of Bollywood. We offer a fitness regiment in the form of Indo Jazz (bollywood). Our target audience is for individuals who would like to implement a workout routine that is fun and beneficial by mixing the spice of bollywood and a theme of a structured fitness class. This opportunity gives us a chance to target health and fitness by using our cultural strengths.
The kids that will be performing are from Virasat Peace Organization. . It is a bhangra/ghidda school which has outsourced an instructor for bollywood dance. They are showcasing a fusion piece which has been choreographed by instructors from Academy of Cre8ive Arts and Rhythm in Motion to include fitness, fun, and dance

Born and raised in British Columbia, Krystal’s performing career has taken her all over the world. Recent appearances include a role on the television show “Rent A Goalie” and an appearance on CBC’s Rick Mercer Report. Past credits include performing in the World Premiere Cast of THE LORD OF THE RINGS in Toronto, the Original Broadway Cast of AR Rahman’s BOMBAY DREAMS in New York City as an understudy to the lead, and dancing alongside John Travolta in the 2007 hit movie-musical HAIRSPRAY! You can also catch Krystal’s dancing in the films REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA starring Sarah Brightman and Paris Hilton and THE LOVE GURU starring Mike Myers, Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake, on which she also acted as assistant choreographer. In 2004, Dance Spirit Magazine named her one of “Broadway’s Young Stars”. Live stage performances include shows with Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and Jann Arden and European tour with Greg Denard/GDO Soul. Krystal is currently appearing in Discover Ontario’s Tourism commercial starring Canadian Idol contestant Toya Alexis and can be seen on MTV Canada’s “Dancing with the Hosts” as Paul The Interns’ dance partner and choreographer. The newest venture is her production and dance company HOUSE OF KIRAN which has produced AN ANTIQUE SONG; REVISITING SHAKESPEARE’S SONNETS for the Speech and Stuttering Institute of Ontario, a contemporary production of A CHORUS LINE for RBC DesiFEST and an upcoming film commision for BRAVO!FACT.

McMaster’s imMACculate dance team competes at a university level to showcase the many different dance styles of India. At the South Asian Alliance Culture Show this past March, the imMACculate dance team placed first amongst 13 other universities in the Bhangra category.

With a verifiable track record of heart stopping displays of percussion like you’ve never seen before, the Lethal Dholis have truly established themselves as percussion powerhouses. Having been on the scene for over a decade and being the preferred accompanists of artists such as Sukshinder Shinda, Aman Hayer, Punjabi MC, RDB, Lehmber Hussainpuri, Jazzy B, Manak-E, Angrez Ali and Stereo Nation to name a select few, they are living testament to the saying “there is no substitute for experience”. Having performed on renowned stages like the Molson Amphitheatre, DesiFEST at Dundas square, Wonderland’s Kingswood music theatre, and the Hershey centre to name a few, it’s safe to say they have their share of experience with all types of audiences and stages . They bring energy, skill and charisma in a neat, colourful package to any stage or dance floor they set foot on, ensuring audiences are witnessing something special.

From traditional Bhangra to entertaining stunts, Nachde Tapde Punjabi strives to please audiences of all ages. What started out as two people with an idea has now blossomed into a unique multi-talented team. In addition to Bhangra, NTP excels in various types of dance including Hip Hop, Bollywood and Fusion. The members of NTP Bhangra have come together from notable teams such as Nachdi Jawani, Trinjan, and various South Asian Alliance dance teams to form a team that truly combines the best of the best.
With much experience performing for large audiences, NTP continues to please crowds while appreciating the traditional aspects of Bhangra. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday or any other special occasion, NTP Bhangra will be sure to deliver a memorable performance.

- Born in Montreal before moving to Orlando at the age of 15, after living in Orlando for seven years she returned to Montreal and obtained a degree in Psychology at Concordia University * Has been singing and writing music since childhood, including orchestra score for her high school graduation * While in Florida she often performed at Disney World, more recently was on CTV’s Telethon of the Stars and performed at the first ever RBC desiFEST Montreal at the Just For Laughs Museum * Currently studying music at Vanier College, set to release her debut EP in Fall 2009 * Spent a month in a village in Malawi, Africa on an HIV/AIDS research trip, had the chance to sing at churches, for villagers and at politicians’ homes – Prita will be donating a portion of proceeds from her debut EP to the village, and is also recording a Malawi song she learned to raise awareness * Acclaimed South Asian Canadian fusion band JoSH is producing several of her new songs

For their debut album, Kazak is working with producer and sound engineer Aamer Hassan. Besides leaving their imprint on Toronto’s South Asian music scene, Kazak hopes it’ll lead the way for other South Asians to follow.

LPC, was originally formed in September ’08. The band was formed when musicians from 5 different local bands joined together to give the band’s music a variety of Pop, Rock, Punk to Bollywood sounds. Roach was born in a small city called Sebha, in Libya which is in the heart of the Sahara desert. At the age of ten, him and his family were forced to migrate to Canada due to the country’s educational limits. At the age of 12, Roach was introduced to the life of urban music and from the first sounds of reggae, he fell in love with the culture which inspired him to become a reggae artist. At the early age of 14, Roach collaborated with producers from the Greater City of Toronto and released an underground Reggae album called “ROACHSTAFARIAN” of which he sold 6000 units across North America.
The New Album titled “ The Revolution” with its first single Yara Dildara dropping in Fall.
